Privacy Policy

Four Times Rent (fourtimesrent.org) is operated by Jainchell Oil Company, a Texas company ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and you can delete everything at any time.

Using the site without an account

The calculator, the employer list and printable reports work without an account. When you use them:

• The ZIP code, pay and hours you enter in the calculator are processed in your browser and are not stored by us.
• When you create a printable report, we store the figures on the report (ZIP code, pay, hours, and any job title or employer you type in) under a random code so the report's verification link works. We don't attach your name or email to it unless you are signed in.

Information we collect when you have an account

• Email address. Used to sign you in and, if you choose, to send pay alerts and monthly gig summaries.
• Pay alerts: the ZIP code, county, pay, hours and optional name you save for each job.
• Saved reports: the figures on each report you create while signed in.
• Pay reports: the employer, optional job title, ZIP code, pay and hours you report.
• Gig log: the dates, minutes worked, starting ZIP codes, earnings, expenses, and optional app name and notes you enter.
• Email preference: whether you want alert and summary emails.

We do not ask for or store your name, home address, phone number, passwords, Social Security number or payment details.

How pay reports are protected

• Your individual pay report is never shown to anyone, including other users and employers.
• Reports appear only in totals for an employer in a county, and only once at least five people have reported.
• The public employer list names an employer only when the middle reported pay meets the standard. It shows no pay figures.
• We link a pay report to your account only to limit each person to one report per employer per county every 90 days and to unlock the pay data you can view.

Information collected automatically

• Sign-in cookie. When you sign in we set one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It is not used for advertising or tracking.
• Sign-in requests. We record the IP address of each sign-in request to block abuse. These records are deleted about a day after the link expires.
• Your device. The gig log remembers the last starting ZIP code you used, stored only in your own browser.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider processes IP addresses and basic request details to deliver and protect the site.

We do not use advertising, analytics trackers or tracking pixels, and the site loads nothing from other companies' servers: its fonts and code are all served from fourtimesrent.org. Because we don't track you, we don't change anything in response to Do Not Track signals.

How we use information

To run the features you use; to send the emails you ask for; to calculate anonymous totals of reported pay; to prevent abuse and keep the site secure; and to comply with the law.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that run the site for us, and only as needed:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and database and forwards email sent to our addresses.
• Resend delivers sign-in links, alerts and summaries to your email address.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people's safety or the site's integrity. Anonymous totals that identify no one may be published freely.

How long we keep it

Account information stays until you delete it or your account. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and are deleted within about a day. Reports created without an account are kept so their verification links keep working; they contain no account information.

Your choices

• Edit or remove pay alerts, saved reports, pay reports and gig entries at any time.
• Turn alert and summary emails off on your account page.
• Delete your account on the account page. This permanently deletes your email address and everything tied to it, including removing your pay reports from all totals.
• To ask what we hold about you or to correct it, email privacy@fourtimesrent.org.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). There are no passwords to steal; sign-in links and sessions are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is less to protect.

Age requirement

The site is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will email account holders first.
